Ripening in November 2026

Meet Sri Lanka with

Jackfruit is a marketplace for experiences run by Sri Lanka’s small businesses. Spend a morning at a potter’s wheel in Galle and leave with clay under your nails. Eat lunch in a family kitchen in Negombo, where second helpings arrive whether you asked or not. Walk through Pettah with someone who knows which cart has the best short eats, and will argue about it.

Most of these hosts have never had a way to take bookings from beyond their own lane. We give them one, plus help with the photos, the pricing and the listing. You get the island as the people who live here see it, sticky fingers included.

Nearly ripe.
Get on the list before it drops.

Waitlist members hear first when bookings open and get 10% off on your first booking. Run a workshop, a kitchen or a tour? We’re picking our first hosts now.

Small hosts,
small tables

Workshops, kitchens and walks run by the people who own them. Often the person teaching you is the person who started it. Many are taking online bookings for the first time.

Plan the day around it

Save what catches your eye, share the list with whoever’s coming, and we’ll suggest what fits in between: lunch in Fort after a morning at the wheel, a nap before the evening surf.

A busy shopping street lined with colourful signs

Fair to the people who host you

Hosts set their own prices and keep most of what you pay. Our fees are published, so the only surprise on the day is how much rice you’ll be served.

Run something worth booking?

A pottery shed, a curry that people cross town for, a boat that goes out at dawn. We’re choosing our first 25 founding hosts across the Southern region of Sri Lanka. Founding hosts pay a lower commission for as long as they stay with us, and our team helps with photos, pricing and your listing. You don’t need a website, and you don’t need to write a word of English.
